Riverside Golf Results for w/c March 10th 2025

Labour Day, Monday’s Stableford, was contested in two Grades, with a countback needed in A Grade, handing Steve Batchelor the Win, over Tony Coppola.

With a Batchelor double, little Lucy took control in B Grade with a mighty score, three in front of Phillip Teopenga, after a countback against Tom Till.

Monday’s Medley Stableford :

A Grade: Steve Batchelor 34 point, on a countback, runner-up Tony Coppola 34 points.

B Grade: Lucy Batchelor 40 point, runner-up Phillip Teopenga 37 point, on a countback from Tom Till.

Balls () 33pts on a countback.

NTP’s were : 4th Zilzie Wines – Michael Wade ?, 12th – Michael Wade ? and 18th – Rob Arnold ?

The Ladies nine hole Stableford on Tuesday saw Adel Dal Corobbo notching up another win, over Chitra Rankin.

Tuesday’s Ladies nine hole Stableford:

Adel Dal Corobbo 19 points, runner-up Chitra Rankin 17 point.

NTP’s : 18th – Selma Mayne 520cm.

The Members and Visitors day on Wednesday produced some great scores, being played in two Grades.

Lucas Pedder had the burners on, scorching his way around the course, to collect the A Grade Win, over Shane Crossling, who had a great round as well.

It was a three way countback in B Grade, with Ken Upton winning the battle, to take home the win, over John Denman, with Martin Deakon, missing out by a smidge.

Wednesday’s Stableford:

A Grade: Lukas Pedder 43 point, runner-up Shane Crossling 40 point.

B Grade: Ken Upton 39 points, on a countback from runner-up John Denman and Martin Upton.

Balls (15) 36 point on a countback.

NTP’s: 4th – Trevor Williams 198cm, Cookes Pools and Spa’s 7th – David Lloyd 509cm, 12th – David Lloyd 511cm, Good Deal Tyres 18th – Wayne Innes 320cm.

Thursday the Ladies enjoyed a Secret Stableford, with drawn partners. Although the weather was pretty warm, all those who took to the Fairways, enjoyed their game and the  following yummy Lunch and catch up, with past Members.

The Winning pair on the day were Tracy Lee and Rose Gillardi, on a terrific score. Pat Roirdan and Loris Hicks were next best, collecting second place, with Heather Klemm and Selma Mayne grabbing third.

Thursday’s Ladies Opening Day – Secret Stableford.

Winning Pair – Tracy Lee & Rose Gillardi 71 point, runner-up Pat Riordan & Loris Hicks 65 points, on a count back from, Third – Heather Klemm & Selma Mayne 65 point.

The Straightest Drive on the 17th, went to Marie Hudak.  Best Single score for the day was picked up by Pat Riordan.

NTP’s: 4th – Pat Riordan 611cm, 7th – Lisa Garioch 545cm, 12th – Pat Riordan 132cm and !8th – Lisa Garioch 43cm.

It was another stinker on Friday, but the die hard Golfers still hit the Fairways, in the nine hole Medley Stableford. Travis Jobson had a lovely day, to scoop up the win, with Jayden Granfell, Tim Schurr, Reece Merlin, Jasper Robins and Bodan Bishop, fighting it out for Runner-up.

Friday’s nine hole Medley Stableford:

Travis Jobson 21 point, runner-up – Jayden Grenfell 19 point on a countback from, Tim Schurr, Reece Merlin, Jasper Robins and Bodan Bishop.

Balls: (13) 18 point on a count-back.

With the heat on Saturday, it was a good choice for the Comp to be a Medley Par, early pick up and back in the Club House for a Cold one. It was played in three Grades, with some very nice scores.

A Grade saw Brendan Rowse, playing off (-1 handicap) on a winner, with Darren Gray a couple behind, in second place.

It was nice to see Harvey Spratt back in some good form, taking out the win in B Grade, just a tad in front of Rob Garioch, with another of his consistent games.

Jeff Riordan had the score of the day, to win C Grade, in front of Todd George, close behind.

Very nearly a hole in one Lisa Garioch, keep up the straight shooting.

Saturday’s Medley Par :

A Grade : Brendan Rowse plus 3, runner-up Darren Gray plus 1.

B Grade : Harvey Spratt plus 3, runner-up plus 2.

C Grade : Jeff Riordan plus 4, runner-up plus 3.  

Balls (18) minus 1 on a countback.

Eagles : Both on Par five, 14th hole – Larry Cavallaro and Allan Mc Master.

NTP’s : Zilzie Wines 4th – Josh Bailey 94cm, 7th – Lisa Garioch 1cm, 12th - Tuarae Kirirua 150cm, Sunbeam Fruits 17th – Ben Ave 100cm, Deakin Estate Wines 18th -  290cm.
