Riverside Golf Results for w/c September 28th 2025

Firstly, a Huge Congratulations to our Murray Darling Ladies and Men’s Teams, who competed in the recent 2025 Country Week. It is a very prestigious event, which we were extremely privileged to have been able to host here in Sunraysia, for the first time. 

The Ladies Team, did not drop a match over the three days, a remarkable feat, as specially when this is the First time our Ladies have had the honour of being handed the Trophy in the Top Division.

The Men’s team struggled to get a win at first, but put up a tremendous fight, coming home well to finish in second place.

An excellent effort by all players and caddies, who were proudly representing their District.

Sunday’s Medley Stableford on the 28th, was played in two Divisions, with a mighty 40 points giving Roberto Fuoco the A Grade win, over Glen Walker’s 39 points.

Noah Biddle put his 37 points to work, taking home the B Grade win, in front of Colin Christensen, who was lucky enough to grab second place, after a five way countback, all on 36 points, with Nic Alicastro, Duane Ebbles, Daniel Ghidinelli and Luke Trevena, just missing the cut.

Balls (8) 36 points on a countback.

NTP’s were : Zilzie Wines 4th – Gavin Minter 128cm, 7th – Josh Fleming 418cm, 12th – Gary Swallow 246cm and 18th – Darren Knight 140cm.

The 18 hole Medley Stableford on Tuesday saw Lachlan Faulkhead winning on 38 points, from Michael Wade 36 points.

Tuesday also saw the Ladies playing their nine hole Stableford, with a countback giving Meg Hamence the win, over Adel Dal Corobbo, on 19 points.

The NTP on the Zizie Wines 4th – went to Meg Hamence 799cm.

Wednesday was a 2 Person Aggregate Stableford, with the pair of Jude Ridley and Isaiah Faulkhead coming in with the winning score of 78 points, in front of Brad Missen and Ray Cottle, one behind on 77 points.

Balls (10) 71 points.

NTP’s : Zilzie Wines 4th – Seb Raiti 265cm, 7th – Gary Swallow 650cm, Sunbeam Fruits 17th – Grant Giddings 600cm and Good Deal Tyres 18th – Andrew Stanbrook 222cm.

The Ladies played Stroke on Thursday, in conjunction with their Medalist of the Year playoff. Lyn Thompson, had a fantastic day, not only winning the daily comp, on an excellent (108/70), but her score also rewarded her with the Medalist of the Year and her name to go on the Honour Board. Linda Dickson came in with (103/72), which put her in second place.

Balls (3) 74 nett.

NTP’s : 12th – Heather Klemm 195cm and 18th – Janette Mason 397cm.

Friday’s nine Hole Medley Stableford was won by Nick Ietto, on a fine 22 points, with runner up Archie Droffelaar on 21 points.

Balls (17) 17 points on a countback.

Tracey Bryan put together the best score for the Ladies on Saturday, with a nice 34 points, from Lisa Garioch on 33 points.

It was three Grades for the Men on Saturday with a good field enjoying the warmer conditions. Alex Spooner made his mark in A Grade, taking the win on 39 points. Second place went to Barry Pilgram, after a countback with Daniel Tung, both on 37 points.

Gary Swallow produced a super 40 points for his win in B Grade, followed by runner up Tony Scullino, close behind on 39 points.

The C Grade winner, Dillan Drew finished with the best score of the day, a brilliant 41 points, in front of two players on 39 points, with Jake Garraway snagging runner up, coming out the better in a countback with Brian Young.

Balls (22) 34 points.

NTP’s : Zilzie Wines 4th – Ken Hornsby 150cm, 7th – Damen Southgate 117cm, 12th – Scott Webster 130cm, Sunbeam Fruits 17th – Damen Southgate 98cm and Good Deal Tyres 18th – Todd George 130cm.
