The Riverside Golf Club is located on the banks of the Murray River 6 kilometres from the centre of the City of Mildura. The golf course features 18 grass greens and watered fairways set amongst majestic river red gum and box trees. Riverside is home to abundant native bird life, particularly water birds that nest in the natural billabongs adjacent to the Murray River itself. Enjoy the licenced clubhouse that is open every day including public holidays, excluding Christmas Day. The on-course golf shop is open every day for equipment, snacks and drinks. Visitors are more than welcome to join in competition days.

Alan Connolly Life Membership

Congratulations to Alan Connolly on being awarded Life Membership of Riverside Golf Club at the AGM. Alan has been a Riverside Golf Club member since the early 1970s. He has remained a true, loyal member, player and supporter of the Club and all that it represents. The Club survived in the early days by calling for volunteers to do various jobs, working bees, levee bank supervision during high waters and much of the general maintenance around the course. Alan was always first to put his hand up to help out in any way possible. The time, effort and passion that Al has always invested into the Club needs to be acknowledged and recognised. Since retiring from his business He has been very visible at the Club. He planted the advanced trees to beautify the carpark following a donation of funds from Jenni and Rod Taylor. He has dug trenches to lay wiring and water for various improvements on the course. He has mowed, trimmed and beautified the course. He has painted, fixed fencing, washed shade cloths and anything else requiring a volunteer. He has been a Committee member for the last 3 years. He put up his hand, out of his comfort zone, to be President when the Club was desperate for a leader. He and May have worked voluntarily in the clubhouse almost every Sunday for the last 18 months. He has been working or involved in Club business 7 days a week during his time as President. Alan has indeed been a true example of a worthy recipient of a life membership of Riverside Golf Club.
